Limits and plans

Four plans, four things metered. This page is the whole of it: the numbers, what counts, what you see as you approach a limit, and what happens at it. Settings → Billing shows your own meters.

Free is a plan, not a trial: it does not expire and needs no card. Starter and Professional start with a 14-day trial. Enterprise adds SSO / SAML, a dedicated MCP server and a deployment you control — email us.

What counts

  • Sources — files uploaded to the organisation, across all its projects. Deleting one frees the slot.
  • MCP calls — every call your agents make to the MCP server, reads included, across the organisation. The count resets on the first of each month.
  • Projects — wikis in the organisation.
  • Editor seats — members with the owner, admin or member role. Viewers and agent keys never use one. See Inviting your team.

Before a limit

The meters in Settings → Billing say what is left once you pass 80% of any limit — 2 sources left on this plan — and say plainly when it is reached — No sources left on this plan.

At a limit

  • A project or a source is refused with what your plan includes and the plan that lifts it, with its price: Your plan includes 1 project, and it is in use. Starter ($79/mo) includes 3 projects. Change your plan in Billing.
  • An invite is refused with No editor seats left. Remove a member or change the plan.
  • An agent's MCP call is refused with HTTP 402 and the error mcp_quota_exceeded, whose message names the plan, the limit, the reset on the first of the month and where the plan changes. Some clients show the message; others only report that the server did not answer — if an agent says WitWiki is down late in the month, check the meter first. Pages stay readable in the browser throughout; the wall is on agent calls only.

Nothing is deleted at a limit. Existing pages, sources and projects stay as they are.

Changing plan

Settings → Billing has Upgrade (or Change plan on a paid plan), monthly or annual, and Manage billing for the card, invoices and cancellation. A cancelled plan runs to the end of the period it was paid for and then returns to Free; the badge reads ending until then.
